Injectables and fillers like Botox®, Restylane®, and Juvederm® are increasingly popular tools in the anti-aging skin care arsenal. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, their use increased 40% from 2010-2015 with 6.6 million Americans using Botox® or a cosmetic filler in 2015.
Why are these age-defying powerhouses trending? It’s because injectables and fillers hit an anti-aging sweet spot. Unlike topical skincare products, they deliver anti-aging benefit under the skin. Yet, unlike plastic surgery, they are noninvasive and promise to erase signs of aging without the host of risks and downtime that comes with a facelift.
