What is a Vampire Facelift?

Vampire Facelift®

Smooth Synergy’s Doctor George Liakeas has trained under Charles Runels MD, who invented and trademarked the Vampire Facelift®. Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and make the person appear younger. But, a surgical facelift can be more than what’s needed for some people (especially when loss of shape without extra skin is the main problem).  The Vampire Facelift is a non-invasive procedure made of using your own blood to enhance your body’s own natural healing, combined with the use of hyaluronic acid. This procedure is a sequence of injections into areas of the face to reduce wrinkles, add youthful volume, and improve the quality of your skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers lift the skin away from the bone to restore youthful volume and shape. The Vampire Facelift® offers a way of restoring shape, and improving tone and texture, as well as literally rejuvenating new and younger tissue.

Top Signs of Aging

  1. Skin color becomes grayer because of less blood flow.
  2. Facial shape becomes collapsed and droopy as muscle and collagen decrease.
  3. Skin texture becomes less smooth. As a result, the person looks “worn”, or “tired”.

Steps of the Vampire Facelift

First, Dr. George uses HA fillers to create a beautiful shape. Then he isolates growth factors from the patient’s blood. When these growth factors enter the face then muti-potent stem cells become activated to grow new tissue.  This new tissue includes new collagen, new fatty tissue (for smoothness), and new blood vessels (for a healthy glow). Purpose Using blood-derived growth factors (platelet rich fibrin matrix [PRFM]), the Vampire Facelift® is a safe procedure for renewing the skin of the face and for correcting shape. The body reacts to the treated cells as it does to a wound and immediately starts repairing the tissue. This builds the underlying tissue with tightening, smoothing, and increased blood flow (which makes the color more attractive).

You should see improvements immediately, although there is usually a return to prior treatment status in 3-5 days as the water is absorbed and prior to the complete action of the cellular regenerative process. Within 2-4 weeks you will see improvement with continued changes for 12 weeks. There’s actual growth of new tissue by stimulation of stem cells, so the change is not from something foreign being in the body but from the body actually rejuvenating and growing. The PRFM stimulates new blood flow along with new blood vessels.
